OUR PHILOSOPHY
Lunar led by Chloe Fung is a multifaceted design studio creating meaningful and expressive spaces specialising in Lighting Design.

The name was inspired by the representation of moon, with its many phases like our perspectives, being shaped by nature and our ever evolving surroundings. We pride on using this notion of creating uniqueness and character to every project we undertake that is relatable and strive new benchmarks in the way we are investing into the spaces in the future. ​​​​

We work closely with our clients to realise a vision. We value the importance of aesthetics and a unique design, but also functionality, cost and efficiency. We want our clients to trust and see return in their investment. We work with trusted contractors in the industry but do not take commission or work specifically to one supplier as we believe each project is unique in it's needs.
We treat every project with care and utmost respect for the innovation and time it deserves. We will question why we are making these changes and new experiences, how are we respecting nature and steering towards sustainable development. Ultimately the people we are designing for to enjoy and immerse into the property and set new benchmarks in which the journeys in our surroundings are curated.

The lighting scheme can imprint something unique and tailored to the space. It is valuable to us to create an emotive and memorable experience for the lifetime of the space to be enjoyed. ​​​​

CONCEPT
It is our duty to have conversations to understand our clients and their design needs. By questioning WHY to set goals and guidelines the project will resolve and build strategies to mitigate challenges the project is to overcome.

Visualisations, mood boards, market research and design reports help to realise the vision together. We are driven by people and innovations, taking inspiration from from applicable contexts. Every project undertaken is unique and always its own interpretation of personality and character.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
We take the client on a journey to the future, looking at potential future changes through innovation and design. This stage details are being developed, advising on implementation and selection of materials and equipment.
TENDER &
SITE SUPERVISION
We take care to final construction delivery by overseeing site works. We ensure the project team is smoothly and safely delivering according to the design vision. Through designer supervision enables control over quality, making the picture a reality.
IMPROVEMENT
WORKS
The service may be directly post construction to support rectification and/or improvement works. This stage helps to ensure that expectations are met, mid to long term of the life span of the building are well considered and final touches where applicable and required.

It may also be a time when we are learning from the users of the space and finding ways that elevated design can value add to the existing conditions or resolve any issues and concerns. We try to understand the way the space is being operated, those generating revenue for the business and their feedback matters. Ways are used to gain insights into elevating a space with circular economy in mind.
